There are times when setting a blog up to have a static front page, in other words a page that shows each time someone visits the blog, can be preferable. You may want your blog to look more like a website. Or you might have information on the front page that you would like visitors to see first when they visit your blog.

This video will show you how to set up a static front page. Because WordPress changes frequently this video will most likely show an older version of WordPress. However if you simply search for the settings tab and click on the reading tab you will find the page where you can make the changesd necessary to set up your static page.
